heater blower motor

heater blower motor

today my heater blower motor died. any have any idea where under the dash it is ? is it a pain to replace. i just need some basic info so i know where to start. thanks for the help guys.

round thingy under the glove box. about 6 inches in circumference.

make sure its not the resister ether. what controls do you have? digital or manual 1-5?

i have digi controls and i know what it is. it not the resistor it the fan cage. for week now its been vibrating and make all kinds of noise. when the noise stops i got no air movement. ty for the info.

Lift the hood and remove the plastic panel at the base of the windshield on
the passenger side. Once you do that, you can see the blower cage.
See if there's any crap in there that needs to be cleaned out,
and see if you can spin the cage.
You can install a cabin air filter from 97-2004 Regals to keep junk
out of your fan. (And cabin)

I had to lay on my back in the passenger footwell to get the one in my 98 GT out, wasn't too much of a pain but getting the old one out was definitely more hard than getting the new one back in.

Put that cabin air filter in there like the guy above me said, makes a huge difference.

to remove it theres 3 bolts, i believe they are 10mm and you get at it from the pass side floor. if you want to check for debre then go through the cowl, and while your in there do the water drain fix and add a cabin filter, 04+ gp one works too.
